The New Balance 550, first released in 1989, was originally a basketball sneaker. But after the first drop, the 550 disappeared into the New Balance archives.

After many years, New Balance relaunched the 550 in 2020. In a short amount of time, the model entered the main collection and found itself in a giant collaboration with the brand Aimé Leon Dore. The overall model is back on track and is now one of the more popular lifestyle sneakers.
